Success Story
My husband and I visited the Sarnia Shelter in July of 2002. We had just moved to the area and wanted a cat to complete our new home. I had my eye on a lovely little kitten, but my husband was watching kitties in another cage. The cat in the top cage put her paw through and down, swatting away another cat who was trying to get his attention. There was no doubt that she wanted to come with us. Muffy decided it was her job to escort us to the bathroom. She would also play hide and seek on the stairs, and often helped my husband untie his shoelaces. Since living here, she has caught, or helped me locate and catch, six bats. We call her Muffy the Batslayer. She likes to sleep on my pillow and put a paw on my face if I have stopped petting her too soon. She prefers cold to heat and will sleep in an unheated sunroom even in fairly cold weather. Muffy also patrols all the windows in the sunroom to make sure nothing is interfering with her property. She is more than willing to have her harness put on as she loves to go outside. Muffy also likes to ride in the car. Muffy loves people and when a visitor comes to the house, she sits right beside them and watches whatever they're doing. She is a beautiful big cat, and we cannot imagine what life would be like without our resident sweetheart.
