Success Story
Bailey
My then boyfriend, now husband and I were moving into our first house together. I had a cat while I lived with my parents, however my father became attached to my cat, so I couldn't seprate the two of them. My husband felt bad and wanted me to have another companion, espcially since he is a shift worker. He went to the Human Society intending on bringing home a cat for us. He walked in the front door of the shelter and there was a pen full of about 6 puppies that had been found in a box on the side of the road. My husband knew when he say "Bailey" sitting in the pen, with big sad brown eyes, that he was the pet for us. So Bailey came home with my husband and has been one of the many loves of our lives.
Bailey has been a part of our family for 8 years, along with our cat Pheobe and our two beautiful daughters ages 3 & 1. Whenever Bailey goes for sleep overs at "Nanny's" house with his girlfriends, my oldest daughter is always upset because she wants him home with her. "I need my Bailey!"
Bailey even has the ability to help the ill and disabled. My mother suffers from MS and whenever I bring him over to her house for a visit he will run to her side and stay by her for the whole visit while she gentily pets his head. Bailey also lifted my grandmother's husbands spirits when he was suffering from alzheimer's. He would forget who people were or where he was, but every time he saw Bailey you could see his face light up and he knew who Bailey was everytime.
Thank you for Bailey!
