Success Story

Chester

We decided to adopt a kitten last July. Walking among the cages, there were many adorable cats and kittens to choose from. We held Chester first. My son made his choice right then and there. As Chester was put back in his cage, I encouraged him to look at them all before making a decision. But it was love at first sight and as he held the others his eyes glided back to Chester's cage. Chester was doing flips and head stands trying to get his attention. He had me as well at this point. The paper work was done, and a few days later we brought Chester home. We gently set his box on the floor and lifted back the lid to let him out. We were all very quiet, thinking the poor lil guy would be scared. We were so surprised when he just hopped out of the box and strolled around the house from one room to another. When he had checked out the whole house he walked over to my son and flopped on the floor beside him and looked up at him purring. If a cat could smile he would have been grinning from ear to ear. Chester amazed us at how brave he could be in loud, noisy environments. Dogs? No problem. Motorcycles? Cool! He walks on a leash hooked on his harness and is better behaved then some dogs! Our visit to the vet explained some of this...it seems Chester is deaf! Hmmm...we thought he just chose to ignore us when we called his name. But this just made him all the more precious to us. He is a character. One in a million, we are so glad we chose that little white kitten doing head stands.!
