Abbey is a sweet, lovely girl.
She originally came into us with what appeared to be shot gun pellets which we removed, cleaned and treated her back to good health.
She was so gentle and sweet, and happy to finally be loved.
Unfortunately, she did come back to us with heartworm, which we treated and is now recovered.
Perfect time to remind everyone that heartworm season is approaching, so talk to your veterinarian about preventing it and keeping your resident animals safe.
Abbey at home.
We fostered Abbey for four months during her heartworm treatment.
We do not have any small children in our home, but always had a revolving door of teenagers, which she loved!!!
Our family nicknamed her, Abbatar.
She would spend all her time with the teens!
She is very quiet inside the house, and has perfect manners.
She will lay on the floor beside the couch or a reading chair. She never gets on the beds or furniture.
She is completely housetrained and trustable when left alone inside.
She enjoys chasing squirrels and her tail when she is excited. J
She needs to be the only dog in the home as she doesn’t like other dogs. That is her only fault.
She is a move in type of pet. Easy peasy.
Help us find this lovely dog a home.
